Cellulite is something that is difficult to avoid. You can exercise consistently, eat healthily, remain within your idea body mass index, and still get unsightly cellulite. After trying all of the anti cellulite treatments available at your local pharmacy, purchasing the seemingly best cellulite treatment you can find online, performing all of the home remedy anti cellulite treatments you could discover, you are still left with cottage cheese dimpled thighs, buttocks, and stomach. What are you to do? Nothing seems to be working, and all you want to do is find an anti cellulite treatment that works for you.

Turning To Medical Anti Cellulite Treatments

The solution for you might be to use a medical anti cellulite treatment. This type of anti cellulite treatment is much more effective (and pricey!) than the over the counter anti cellulite treatments or home remedies. Now comes the hardest part: which medical anti cellulite treatment is for you?

Types of Medical Anti Cellulite Treatments

There are many different types of medical anti cellulite treatments. There are deep tissue massages, which may work, but are really not permanent solutions. The Endermologie machine works to lift skin to get a deep, subdermal massage to the underlying fat layers. This is very positively reviewed. In addition, there is localized, superficial liposuction. This is a more controversial procedure, as a patient with an inhospitable skin type could wind up looking worse after the liposuction than before!

In addition to the previously mentioned procedures, there is also an anti cellulite treatment in the medical community called soft tissue augmentation. This is where fat is injected into localized areas, such as the dimple of cellulite. It will push out the dimple, making a smooth appearance. Mesotherapy is much like this type of liposuction as an anti cellulite treatment. The only problem with mesotherapy is that the chemical injected is uncontrollable, and it is possible for it to spread after it is injected. Your anti cellulite treatment may wind up giving you more dimples than you had before you had the treatment!

There are many, many different types of anti cellulite treatments available through the medical community. However, the only way to determine what is the best cellulite treatment for you is through trial and error. This may be very costly when using a medical anti cellulite treatment, so make sure that you look up many consumer reviews and medical reviews on each anti cellulite treatment before you attempt it. You do not want to pay a large sum of money only to wind up looking the same, or sometimes, looking much worse.

Organic products can also work well for sensitive skin care as organic means that they’re without a lot of added chemicals and harsh irritants. Organic products are becoming more and more popular among many people as we learn more about what additives and other chemicals do to our bodies. It’s usually very easy to find organic products that are even made for sensitive skin care; they are typically available at any retailer or pharmacy and you don’t even need to drive to the health food store or vitamin store to find them.

You can also make up your own natural products that will probably work well for sensitive skin care. Using natural products is usually best for the skin anyway; try a simple honey and oatmeal paste as a cleansing agent. The honey moisturizes the skin and the oatmeal acts as a cleansing and exfoliating agent. Raw eggs are also good for the skin as they contain a high amount of vitamin A. You can just beat one with a fork and apply it as is on your face, leaving it on for a few minutes before rinsing away. And it’s important to be gentle with your face regardless of what you use for sensitive skin care. This means no harsh scrubbing and exfoliating only once or twice per week at most.

Sarah Martin asked:

What is mesotherapy? This is a question you might ask if you have no knowledge of this body sculpting technique.

Mesotherapy is a technique for helping you attain the perfect body, lose weight and look and feel great. It involves receiving injections of customized cocktails of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and medication that your body needs for optimum health not to be confused with lipovite injections (http://www.vfhcinc.com/procedures.html). The needles are inserted just below the outer surface of your skin, which is called the mesoderm, hence the name of the treatment. The therapists use specialized equipment, such as injection guns to administer the treatment. These are electronic instruments with a sterilized needle on one end and an attached tube that holds the injection solution.

In order to benefit from mesotherapy, you cannot rely on the injections alone. You have to take part in the process as well by ensuring that you get plenty of exercise, follow a healthy diet and drink 8 glasses of water every day. At your first consultation, the therapist will describe the procedure and discuss your reasons for taking this therapy. If your goals are unrealistic, the therapist will let you know this so that you won’t be disappointed and you can alter your expectations for the treatment.

You do have to prepare for each session of the mesotherapy treatment, which is usually once a month. You do not have to abstain from eating or drinking because this is not an invasive medical procedure, it is more of a medical weight loss program (http://www.vfhcinc.com/medical.html). You should not wear any perfumes or makeup to the session because these may interfere with the effectiveness of the therapy. If you have a cold or symptoms of illness, you should reschedule your session for a later date.

There is a certain amount of discomfort associated with the after effects of mesotherapy injections. For example, you may have some bruising or soreness of the skin at the site of the injection. The therapist may recommend some over the counter medications that can help with this or you can use all-natural remedies, such as placing a cooled tea bag over the area or bathing the area in a solution of vinegar and water. Including larger portions of green leafy vegetables in your diet for a few days before the session will also help to cut down on the amount of bruising that develops. Ice packs are also helpful in reducing any redness or swelling.

Depending on your physical and medical condition, you have several options to choose from in mesotherapy treatments (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCeeHT_-lFY). Injuries, such as swelling of the joints or torn ligaments, for example, do not require as many treatments as do such conditions as alopecia. You can enjoy mesotherapy treatments to reduce stretch marks after giving birth or losing weight, to help reduce the pain associated with recovering from surgery and even to reduce the problem of constipation. Each one requires a different regimen of treatment.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 80, you can have mesotherapy. The therapist will review your medical history and take note of any prescription medications you may be taking. All this is necessary to ensure your health. For example, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, mesotherapy is not an option for you.

Kelly
Nicolos Rayez asked:

Whenever you’re dabbling in any form of cosmetic procedures, you tend to risk something. No matter what it is. It could be something as simple as a ****** cream. It could be something as complex as liposuction. But you must always weigh the risks of any seemingly safe or unsafe procedure.

Mesotherapy is no exception. Even though it’s a less invasive liposuction alternative, you must always weigh to see what you’re risking by going to any mesotherapy sessions. The risks, although lessened by professional care, are always there, and what is going to be presented to you in this page is some great food for thought when it comes to liposuction alternatives, and specifically mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy, as stated in other articles on Liposuction-Alternatives.info, is an injected cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and drugs. It’s an alternative to liposuction offered to those who are a bit nervous about anesthesia, or going “in for surgery.”

But what is unknown to most who are looking for these body transformation alternatives is that mesotherapy has unknown chemicals in the injections. Unknown chemicals tend to equal unknown health risks. These health risks can range from a mild redness to dangerous infections or allergic reactions.

The majority of chemicals found in mesotherapy injections are sold overseas, can’t be traced, and tend to be lower in quality than a recommended source. This low quality can make mesotherapy, and other liposuction alternatives, a major health risk, and must be closely researched.

You will always want to check with your doctor to see what types of allergic reactions you may have to any of the mesotherapy drugs you may encounter.

Other than these unknown factors, if you were to go to a well known cosmetic specialist who specializes in mesotherapy, it would be safe to say that you would be well taken care of. Mild side effects found on most patients have been swelling, inflammation, bruising, pain, and itching. These are typical, and tend to disappear as time goes by.

Most patients rarely experience these side effects, and tend to feel little, if no pain at all while the procedure is taking place. They say it feels like a mild ant bite, and it’s typically over in a few minutes. But if you were to experience any of the side effects, your health care provider would know exactly what to do, and you have nothing to worry about.

You have to carefully weigh your options. Would you rather risk your health for beauty? Or do you trust your doctor, or mesotherapy specialist enough to take the plunge and have the perfect image for you?

This article is not to dissuade anyone from mesotherapy, as it is very beneficial to certain individuals. This is merely asking you to chew on the idea of other liposuction alternatives if you are not entirely sure of the effect it will have on your body.

Although many injection-type liposuction alternatives have basically the same mild side effects (if any), there are all sorts of other alternatives for you to look for. Ask your local cosmetic specialist if there is any other recommended alternatives to liposuction or mesotherapy if you don’t feel it’s right for you.

One recommendation they may make is a closely guarded diet and exercise plan. This is typically what most doctors or surgeons will recommend before any other liposuction alternative. But if you’re adamant about getting your “trouble areas” fine tuned and tightened up, there are a lot of great options here on Liposuction-Alternatives.info for you to explore.

Mesotherapy is a customized procedure in which a qualified professional injects solutions into the fat cells under the skin to help with a variety of medical conditions.

The injections you receive in mesotherapy treatments contain a variety of natural products as well as pharmaceuticals and vitamins, which is why they are often called “cocktail injections,” not to be confused with botox. This treatment is an alternative medicine that has been practiced in France and other parts of Europe for almost sixty years, but it is a recent phenomenon in the US.

It is used in the treatment of cellulite, to promote weight loss and as an anti-aging agent, in which it rejuvenates aging and sagging skin. It can also be used in pain management and as a treatment for alopecia in both men and women. Other conditions that can benefit from mesotherapy treatments include:

? Injuries to ligaments, joints, muscles and tendons

? Constipation

? Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

? Pain from surgery

? Stretch marks

In mesotherapy treatments, the injections into the fat cells helps to dissolves these cells so that they can be easily absorbed into the bloodstream. Then it goes to the kidneys, where it leaves the body as waste through the bladder.

When it is used in the treatment of cellulite, this therapy helps to give the skin a smooth look without the dimples caused by fat. The needles are administered with injection guns containing a needle and tube. The tube contains the combination of natural extracts, medications and other ingredients needed to melt break down the cells.

Your first consultation with the professional will let you know what you can expect in the treatment sessions and the results you will likely achieve. It is important to know at the outset that this treatment does not work on its own. You have to eat a healthy diet combined with exercise in order to achieve your goals.

You can eat and drink as you normally would before each treatment session, but you should not take the treatment if you are feeling ill. After the mesotherapy treatment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCeeHT_-lFY), it is normal to experience some bruising in the location of the needle insertions.

Your therapist will give you some tips as to how you can reduce the bruising, such as placing a cold tea bag on the bruised area to help enhance the healing process. If you eat green leafy vegetables before you have your treatment, this will decrease your chances of bruising. During your first consultation, the therapist will also take a full medical history and examine the area of the body that you want worked on.

The number of treatments you need will depend on the reasons you have for obtaining this therapy. You may only need a few treatments while another patient may need as many as fifteen or more. Just about anyone between the ages of 18 and 80 can have mesotherapy treatments. However, those with diabetes, a history of heart disease or blood clots and those with bleeding disorders are not permitted to have these treatments.

Once you receive your treatment, there is no follow up care needed. The main thing is for you to maintain a healthy lifestyle, although you may want to make regular appointments with your counsellor just to make sure you are staying on track.

Mesotherapy is a newer beauty treatment. It has been used for about a decade to perform such miracles as weight loss, targeted weight reduction, removing cellulite and wrinkle remove.

It is a form of homotoxicology which means that the treatment involves the destruction of toxins that might be aging you and causing issues with your health. It was originally invented in the 1950s by a doctor called Michel Pistor but it is only gaining popularity in this century. People who adminster this treatment are called mestotherapists.

Mesotherapy (http://www.vfhcinc.com/procedures.html) involves the injection of a cocktail of beneficial substances to very bottom layer of tissue beneath the skin. This part of the skin is called the mesoderm and that is where the name mesotherapy comes form.

The cocktail inside the needle includes vitamins, minerals, amino acids and medications. The mesoderm is very basic and supports muscles, fat and the connective tissue in your body. It is also connected to the circulatory system. Any substances that are injected into the mesoderm are bound to eventually travel to every region of the body.

Originally the solution was injected by hand through the use of syringes but now mesothreapists use a specially made needle that looks like an injection gun. These are electric instruments that have a sterilized needle filled with the cocktail of medicines and other nutrients.

Just about any part of the body can be injected with a mesotherapy cocktail. The most popular places on the body to have these injections are the eyelids, hands, arms legs and abdomen. It can treat a large variety of conditions including joint pain, sprains, muscle tears, tendon strains, cellulite, stretch marks, wrinkles, carpal tunnel, muscle spasms, constipation and post surgical pain.

Basically the mesotherapist will tailor what goes into the mesotherapy injection according to what ails you. There is no one basic injectable solution for this problem. However in general the mix injected does contain high therapeutic doses of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The antioxidants are especially key ingredients in any anti-aging treatment accomplished with a mesotherapy injection.

Unlike some other treatments you do not necessarily see immediate results with mesotherapy. Also it is most effective if you adopt the changes in lifestyle recommended by your mesotherapist so it works long term for you, similar to lipovite injections (http://www.vfhcinc.com/about-us.html).

If you are unrealistic in your hopes as to what mesotherapy can do for you the mesotherapist will usually let you know in the initial consultation session. Also in this session your potential to have reactions to what is in the needle will also be discussed.

You don’t need to do much to prepare for one of these sessions. You will want to remove any perfumes or make up before you have the injection. You should never have one if you are not feeling well and especially if you are having any type of flu symptoms because sometimes the treatment can make you feel even worse. This type of reaction to mesotherapy depends on the individual but it s best not to take any chances.

Sara Gidson asked:

Cellulite is a dimpled and lumpy appearance on the skin of the buttocks, stomach or thighs. It can be described looking like cottage cheese or an orange peel. Uneven distribution of fats beneath the skin is thought to cause its dimpled look. It commonly affects women and its incidence tends to increase with age.

Most women who are affected with cellulite are concerned with its treatment and removal. With the today’s growing technology, numerous treatment methods have been adopted to get rid of cellulite. Let’s take a look the available options we have today.

Cellulite Lotions

Cellulite lotions are solutions that have special substances that can burn down cellulite. They are typically made of natural ingredients such as Wild Yam, Austrian Moor and natural plant extracts.

These lotions are safe and have no known side effects. The only disadvantage with cellulite lotions is that it may take quite a while before you can finally see the results.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a medical treatment which makes use of different combinations of substances and injecting them into the fats. The commonly used substances that are scientifically combined are vitamins, minerals, amino acids, homeopathic medications and conventional pharmaceutical medications.

What is good about Mesotherapy is that is safe. It treats the affected areas with substances that are highly effective in treating cellulite as well as other aging conditions. The disadvantage of Mesotherapy is its potential for local reactions and can cause temporary bruising on the injected area. The procedure is invasive.

Cellulite Laser Treatment

Breaking down fats beneath the skin by the use of a device is how Cellulite Laser Treatment is being done. In conjunction with this treatment, various medications and creams are being used, as well as a combination of skin massaging and skin smoothing with the aid of flat paddles.

The advantage of Cellulite Laser Treatment is that it is non-invasive. However, as for the negative, it may require several sessions to achieve the optimum result, which is costly. The results may only last for a while, once you gain weight or eat unhealthy food, the cellulite will return.

Radio Frequency

Radio Frequency is a revolutionary form of treatment for cellulite as well as other skin problems. This kind of treatment uses radio frequency waves which aid in breaking down the fats beneath the skin. It also aids in the natural production of collagen to help the skin look smoother. It is done by heating the affected areas without putting damage to the layers of the skin. Aside from reducing the dimpling appearance in the affected areas, it can also make it appear smaller as fats are being burned down.

Radio frequency cellulite treatment is proven to be effective in treating cellulite. It has lots of benefits to the skin aside from treating cellulite. But it may require more than five seasons in order to get the best results.

Getting beautiful skin is never impossible with the array of available treatments for cellulite. All you have to do is to choose which one fits your lifestyle, fancy and mood.

Khalid Mahmud, M.D.,FACP asked:

The American Society of Aesthetic Lipodissolve [ASAL] objects to the inclusion of “Lipodissolve” in the recent warning against injection therapy (MESOTHERAPY) for localized fat reduction issued by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery [ASAPS]. The procedure, Lipodissolve was introduced by the founders of ASAL in 2001 as distinct from “Mesotherapy”. The ASAL took care to include ingredients which were safe and whose mechanism of action was understood. The ASAL diligently limited training only to physicians and their nurses to perform the procedure. The ASAL and its original cohort, “Network Lypolysis”, thus trained more than 300 physician in Europe, and so far, more than 200 physicians in the United States.

ASAPS is incorrect in stating that there are no data relative to the effectiveness and safety of the procedure. As it relates to Lipodissolve, more than 50,000 treatment sessions have been reported in European and American peer reviewed journals demonstrating: a] objective evidence of improvement, based on actual measurements and pictures, in approximately 90% of the patients, and b] a paucity of serious side effects.1-4,6,7 Serious side effects reported with liposuction such as death, fluid overload, epinephrine and lidocaine toxicity, thrombosis, fat embolism and complications of general anesthesia have not been reported with Lipodissolve therapy.5

The main ingredient in the Lipodissolve formula is phosphatidylcholine [PC], a lipid. It is dissolved in a bile salt [deoxycholate], which is how it exists in bile where it helps to breakdown the ingested fat cells and digest fat on a daily basis. When injected in to the unwanted superficial body fat, it similarly breaks down fat cells and “digests fat”, as it does naturally in proximal duodenum. In the subcutaneous area the dead fat cells are then gradually removed by the body’s physiologic repair mechanisms, the same way as after any trauma or even after liposuction which leaves dead fat cells in the area to be removed by similar physiologic processes. PC along with other phospholipids are significant dietary source of essential fatty acids. Mammalian cell membranes are primarily composed of PC and other phospholipids mixed with cholesterol esters and salts to maintain fluidity. In other words it is not some foreign or toxic substance.

ASAPS’s statement that this “procedure is not FDA approved” is misleading. FDA approves drugs and devices, not procedures. ASAL maintains that there is no FDA approval requirement relative to phosphatidylcholine for two reasons. One, it is a “supplement” and as such has been used for years for liver health, cholesterol and other possible benefits. Supplements do not require FDA approval and can be administered by injection,(as are vitamins and minerals as in Meyer’s cocktail, intravenous nutrition or hyper-alimentation consisting of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, lipids, and others. Second, in Lipodissolve, the ingredients are mixed by a compounding pharmacist upon a physician’s order for specific patients, which does not require FDA approval [FDA Modernization Act Section 503a Compounding Pharmacy].

Lipodissolve is not a surgical procedure. Accordingly, ASAL has compiled an advisory board that includes highly credentialed physicians with diverse but relevant backgrounds in the fields of dermatology, aesthetic surgery and internal medicine. These individuals are experienced clinicians, speakers, writers, researchers and teachers, and provide advice regarding the procedure and its evolution. They conduct training workshops for other physicians in the U.S. So far the North American advisers have performed more than 2,000 Lipodissolve procedures with satisfactory results in more than 90% of the patients – without any serious side effects. The ASAL has an on going monitoring process to record these events.

Courtney
Sean Saunders asked:

Want to finally learn how to remove cellulite? Well, join the party. The truth is, everyone wants to eliminate cellulite and obtain that **** body they used to have, or have always wished to have. The problem, though, is that no one knows what to do or how to start removing cellulite. In light of that, these 5 steps were created to help people achieve true, life changing cellulite reduction.

Step One: Start exercising more often. Exercise for cellulite removal can be extremely powerful and should not be overlooked. The aerobic and/or cardiovascular exercises only take about 10-20 minutes a day, and you only have to do them 3-4 times a week. That adds up to about 1 hour every week; most would say that is a pretty fair trade for getting rid of cellulite.

Step Two: Try a few cellulite diets. You don’t have to change all of your eating habits, but some change is warranted. By removing junk food, saturated fat, caffeine, and other toxin containing foods, you stand a much better chance to obtain noticeable results. And, by adding healthier foods to your diet, such as salmon & fatty fish, fresh produce, lean meats, fat-free dairy, vegetable juice, etc. your results will be even more impressive.

Step Three: Begin using cellulite treatment creams. Anti-cellulite creams are designed to help break up the cellulite beneath the skin and prevent it from returning. Basically, all the person does is firmly rub the anti cellulite cream into an area that is showing signs of cellulite. Within a few weeks to months, the appearance of cellulite should be reduced substantially. But then again, if you were to combine this cellulite treatment with some of the others, results should be seen even faster. Cellulite ointments and topical medications can be picked up in most drug and retail stores without the need of a prescription.

Step Four: Try cellulite massages. Admittedly, this natural cellulite remedy is a bit more expensive than the other cellulite reducing techniques. However, the money spent is usually well worth the results. The treatment is fairly simple and much like other conventional massages. The trained cellulite massager specialist will apply large amounts of pressure to a cellulite infected area. The pressure is such that it increases blood flow and lymphatic drainage, resulting in the breaking up of the cellulite. Also, the pressure will significantly reduce the appearance of dimpled and/or “cottage cheese” skin. Side effects may include mild bruising within the treated area.

Step Five: Consider mesotherapy injections. This technique is more of a fail-safe in case nothing else works than it is a natural cellulite remedy; and it is not for those on a tight budget because treatments run from $300-$500. In a nutshell, the procedure goes something like this: The mesotherapist uses his/her mesotherapy gun to inject a special concoction of vitamins, minerals, and medications into an area showing signs of cellulite. This special concoction is supposed to melt away the cellulite within a short period of time so that it can then be easily passed through the persons bowels and kidneys. No scarring, no down time, and no overnighters. The patient goes in and within just a few hours (usually less), he/she walks out.

If you want to be rid of cellulite once and for all, use these 5 steps and never give up!

Larry
Alison Stevens asked:

Liposuction is considered a relatively safe procedure; however, there are many reasons why a person may seek a liposuction alternative rather than undergoing cosmetic surgery. If you’re not comfortable with the idea of surgery, if you are on medication or have a medical condition that would prevent you from having cosmetic surgery, or if you think the cost of liposuction could be too great, then there are liposuction alternatives for you to consider.

Medical and cosmetic research and technology are constantly providing new methods of non-invasive body sculpting without the need for surgery. Many of these alternatives produce favorable results without the potential side-effects of liposuction.

Firming Creams

There are a number of creams on the market claiming to improve the firmness and texture of the skin. Many are aimed at reducing cellulite and stretch marks. Creams containing aminophylline are sometimes claimed by their users to reduce fat deposits but there is no scientific evidence to back this, and the claim is not made by the marketers of the products.

Lipodissolve

This is one of the latest techniques in non-surgical liposuction. Developed in Europe for cosmetic purposes, it is now being used in some parts of Europe as a liposuction alternative. Lipodissolve involves injecting a combination of medications and enzymes directly into the fat, which causes the fat to be dissolved and expelled through the body’s urine. The European developers of the technique have concluded that lipodissolve is a safe method for eliminating localized fat deposits.

Mesotherapy

This method, also known as liposculpting, can provide excellent results for those seeking a non-invasive, non-surgical liposuction alternative. Mesotherapy involves small injections of a combination of natural plant extracts, medicines and amino acids into the problem areas to dissolve the fat. The fat is then eliminated from the body with other wastes. The procedure is relatively painless and does not require an anesthetic. There is no recovery time associated with mesotherapy.

Diet and exercise

Improving the diet and getting more excercise are still the best and safest ways to lose weight and change the body’s appearance. Remember that liposuction is not a weight loss method – it is a procedure to shape the body. As an alternative to any of the above procedures and treatment, learn to accept your body shape the way it is and learn to dress in a manner that downplays your body size.

Any of the above methods may be suitable liposuction alternatives; however, it is always advisable to seek professional advice before starting any treatment.
